What this means for your family

This facility is an excellent choice for families prioritizing cleanliness, modern amenities, and a high-quality rehabilitation/therapy program. However, because there have been specific, serious allegations regarding hygiene neglect and wound care, you should explicitly ask about their protocols for frequent incontinence checks and skin integrity monitoring.

The Heights of Alamo is highly regarded for its exceptionally clean, modern, and odor-free environment, which many visitors note feels more like a community than a traditional nursing home. While the majority of families praise the professional therapy and friendly nursing staff, there are serious, isolated reports of neglect regarding hygiene and wound care. Families should prioritize checking on the consistency of routine care and hygiene checks during their visits.

How They Respond to Reviews

97%response rate
Generic

The owner relies heavily on a small set of pre-written templates that rotate through phrases like 'best-in-class, compassionate care' and 'mission of Making Lives Better.' While they do personalize the responses with the reviewer's name, the core content is almost always a copy-paste of the same few sentences.

Key Review Excerpts

The Heights of Alamo is a very friendly place. The staff treats the residents with utmost respect as well as the visitors. I would like to add that the facility is very clean and not smelly like other nursing homes.

Family member · 2025★★★★★

My mother was supposed to be there for a few weeks to recover and for the price we believed she was in good hands. She was there less than 3 weeks when she was rushed to the Emergency room a bed sore developed sepsis. We were told it was due to neglect and sitting in soiled diapers.

Family member · 2026☆☆☆☆

Nursing staff is available, immediately accessible, and responsive to my clients’ needs and comfort.
