What this means for your family

While the facility has a history of excellent therapy and kind staff, recent reports of medical oversights and unresponsive management are significant red flags. If you choose this facility, ensure you have a clear plan for regular family check-ins and ask management directly about their current staffing ratios and medication oversight protocols.

The Gables of Marysville receives high praise for its therapy services and staff kindness, with many families reporting a warm, professional environment. However, recent reviews from late 2024 and 2025 indicate a concerning decline in care quality, with reports of unresponsive management and serious medical oversights. Families should be aware of a perceived shift toward a profit-driven model that may impact patient attention and responsiveness.

Key Review Excerpts

I don't know what happened between Nov 2024 when my mother was there for her 2nd time and Oct 2025 her 3rd time but it was evident there was a major transition from a patient care driven model to a profit driven model.

Long-term resident's family · 2026☆☆☆☆

At times when we had questions or needed help, we couldn't find a nurse. Mom was sent here after being in hospital and she was doing great... Then all the sudden I get a call she's not doing well.she was laying in the bed so doped up on morphine she couldn't come to and wake up.

Long-term resident's family · 2025★★★☆☆

The entire staff from front to back treated my father and family so well And professionally.

1 complaint-triggered

This facility has 38 deficiencies across five surveys, including two triggered by family complaints about medication errors and nursing staffing. The most recurring issues involve fire safety systems, care planning, and medication management. While all cited deficiencies show correction dates from the provider, the pattern of repeated fire safety violations and complaint-driven surveys suggests families should carefully evaluate the facility's safety protocols and staffing adequacy during visits.
