What this means for your family

The Birches offers a clean, modern environment with strong support for hospice and post-surgical recovery. However, families should be vigilant regarding medication management and night-shift staffing; we strongly recommend asking for a written care plan and ensuring clear communication protocols are established with the nursing director upon admission.

Key Review Excerpts

The staff came in every 2 hours 24 hours a day and they kept incredible care of my sisters and me. When my mom passed away the staff was remarkable.

Memory care family member · 2017☆☆☆☆

They treat pain medicine 'As needed, & upon request only' but they don't tell you that upon your arrival. My 86 year old grandma went 16 hours without any pain medicine just 2 days after a highly intense surgery.

Long-term resident's family · 2026☆☆☆☆

Day time staff was good but night time staff was terrible! Not safe at night - pulled my family member out over concerns from incident at night.
