What this means for your family

While Stratford Court offers excellent social programming and a strong therapy team, the recent surge in complaints regarding administrative responsiveness and aggressive rent increases is concerning. Families should demand a clear, written explanation of all potential fee increases and verify current staffing ratios in the nursing unit before committing.

Stratford Court of Boca Raton receives polarized feedback, with many families praising the compassionate staff and successful rehabilitation outcomes, while others report severe neglect, poor communication, and aggressive rent increases. While long-term residents and their families often highlight the caring culture and engaging activities, recent reviews frequently cite significant issues with nursing responsiveness, billing transparency, and high staff turnover. Prospective families should carefully weigh the positive testimonials regarding therapy and social engagement against the recurring reports of administrative and clinical failures.

Questions for Your Tour

  • 1I noticed your team is very active in responding to online feedback; what is the best way for families to reach administration or the billing department if we have questions once my loved one is settled?
  • 2Given the high praise for your rehabilitation and therapy team, how do you ensure that same level of consistent, attentive care carries over to daily nursing needs and call-bell response times?
  • 3With the state health inspection report noting some areas for improvement, what specific steps has the facility taken recently to enhance medication management and oversight?
  • 4I see that social programs are a highlight here; could you walk me through a typical week of activities and how you help new residents integrate into these groups?
  • 5We want to plan for the long term, so could you explain how you typically handle annual rent adjustments and what transparency families can expect regarding future cost increases?
  • 6How do you maintain continuity of care for residents given the current staffing climate in the industry, and what is your process for keeping families updated on any changes in their loved one’s health status?

Assisted Living family member · 2025★★★★★

Took 45 minutes to answer call bell even being told by family he needed help. No doctor saw my dad for 5 days. After told doctor he needed a chest x-ray due to coughing. Had pneumonia and family had to convince them to call 911 although they did not want to.

Rehab family member · 2025☆☆☆☆

We saw 10-16% increases in single years without any explanation. You will also have next to no ability to contact their financial office or general manager. We’ve called dozens of times and have found it next to impossible to get anyone to speak to us about simple billing questions.
