What this means for your family
This facility's rehabilitation and nursing teams are frequently praised for their clinical competence and compassion. However, families must be vigilant regarding administrative communication and weekend staffing levels, as multiple reviewers have reported significant lapses in these areas. We recommend conducting unannounced visits to observe care quality firsthand.

However, a significant number of reviewers report serious concerns regarding administrative communication, inconsistent staffing levels, and neglectful patient care, particularly during weekends and night shifts. Prospective families should be aware of these recurring operational issues despite the facility's strong rehabilitation services.”

Questions for Your Tour
- 1Given that physical therapy is a noted strength here, how do you coordinate that rehab plan with the daily nursing care to ensure a smooth recovery process?
- 2I understand that communication is vital for families; what is the official process for ensuring we receive timely updates and return calls from the administrative team?
- 3With staffing levels sometimes fluctuating on weekends and nights, what specific protocols do you have in place to ensure call lights are answered promptly during those shifts?
- 4I noticed some feedback regarding hygiene and daily care; could you walk me through how you monitor and maintain personal care standards for residents throughout the day?
- 5Since dining experiences are a focus for improvement, could you describe what a typical meal service looks like and how you accommodate individual dietary preferences or needs?
- 6How does your team handle medication management and oversight to ensure residents receive the correct dosages and schedules consistently?

Key Review Excerpts
“The nurses are very knowlegable and friendly all of the patient care staff are Amazing! Residents seem happy and well cared for and the environmental department really does try and make the facility as clean and neat as possible”
“The 5 stars are for the nurses. They are wonderful and caring and keep my dad clean and fed. The 5 stars are for the therapy team. They are working really hard with him. The stars are NOT to be shared with the admin. After leaving several messages for admin and no return calls, they can have 1 star!”
“I was in Southland Oct.2025. I was very satisfied with the PT team. Yugi and Barbara were the best... Day time staff was very good but 2nd and 3rd staff very rude and did not speak English very well. The rooms need up dating, very depressing for people trying to get well. I did have roaches in my room.”
