What this means for your family

This facility has a strong reputation for its physical and speech therapy departments, which have helped many patients return home. However, families should be aware of significant, recurring concerns regarding weekend staffing levels, facility cleanliness, and communication. We strongly recommend visiting in person during off-hours and asking specifically about their protocols for monitoring patient hygiene and medical needs.

Key Review Excerpts

The nurses and aides were nice and kept me and her in the loop about schedules and goals. They also had food so good I ate there when I visited.

Memory care family member · 2022★★★★

The conditions at Smoky Mountain Post Acute and Rehab are appalling! I visit my great aunt whenever I am in town, which is about twice a month. Every time I am there, the smell of urine throughout the facility is almost overwhelming.

Long-term resident's family · 2024☆☆☆☆

My father was forgotten when moved to a different room, was not able to feed himself and was not fed in 2 days , became septic and had severe dehydration per hospital
