What this means for your family

While the facility has been praised for its rehabilitation services, the recent reports of staff misconduct and poor conflict resolution are significant red flags. Families should conduct an unannounced tour and specifically observe staff interactions with residents in non-public areas to ensure the environment aligns with their standards for care.

Questions for Your Tour

  • 1Given that the facility has a 5-star rating for health inspections but a lower rating for staffing, how do you ensure consistent, high-quality care for residents during shift changes?
  • 2I noticed some feedback regarding communication styles; could you walk me through the typical process for how families are updated on their loved one's daily progress and any changes in their care plan?
  • 3What specific protocols or security measures do you have in place to ensure that residents' personal belongings and valuables are kept safe and accounted for?
  • 4Since your rehabilitation team is highly regarded for being goal-oriented, how do you integrate those recovery goals into the daily social and activity schedule for residents?
  • 5With cleanliness being a priority for our family, could you explain your current housekeeping schedule and how you maintain high standards in resident rooms and common areas?
  • 6How does your nursing team handle medical emergencies or urgent health needs, particularly during evening or weekend hours when staffing levels might be different?

Key Review Excerpts

The staff was absolutely amazing and they do a really good job at trying to get the patients to reach their goals!

Home health caregiver · 2023★★★★

Please don't bring any of your family to this facility, it is an absolute disgrace to nursing homes. If I could give them a negative star I would. First, I gave them a chance to make things right and they basically called my mother a liar who doesn't know what she's talking about.
