What this means for your family

While River Pointe offers a vibrant social life and excellent dining for long-term residents, the facility has faced serious allegations regarding neglect and understaffing in its rehab and memory care units. If you are considering this facility, we strongly recommend conducting unannounced visits and asking specifically about the staff-to-patient ratios on weekends and evenings.

River Pointe Health Campus receives polarized feedback, with many long-term residents and their families praising the facility's activities, dining, and friendly staff. However, several critical reviews from rehab patients and their families highlight serious concerns regarding understaffing, neglect, and safety lapses during medical care. Families should be aware that while the environment is often described as warm and engaging, there are recurring reports of inconsistent care quality, particularly in the rehabilitation and skilled nursing units.

Key Review Excerpts

My mom has been at RiverPointe for 5 1/2 years. She has enjoyed the activities, the dining experience and the family events that they schedule. The beauty shop is convenient and greatly appreciated.

Long-term resident's family · 2024★★★★★

My dad went there for rehab. They do not have enough staff to take care of the rehab patients. We had to change dad’s bed and clean him up , clean bathroom and get him water and help him to the bathroom.

Rehab patient's family · 2024☆☆☆☆

My stepdad was suffering from Dementia and Parkinson. He care was sad at River Pointe!! Our family was private pay and we would find him not bathed, not helping to feed him, not getting him drink/s.

Memory care family member · 2025☆☆☆☆

River Pointe Health Campus has a concerning pattern of recurring deficiencies across multiple surveys, with families filing complaints that led to findings regarding care planning, family notification of incidents, and protection of residents' belongings. The facility struggles most with fire safety systems, resident rights and communication, and care planning - issues that have persisted across surveys despite corrections. While all deficiencies show correction dates, the repeated nature suggests ongoing compliance challenges that warrant careful consideration during your visit.
