What this means for your family

Oceanside is highly regarded for its compassionate memory care and effective rehab therapy, making it a strong contender for those needs. However, families should be vigilant regarding medical oversight and hygiene; we recommend conducting frequent, unannounced visits and maintaining clear, documented communication with the nursing staff to ensure your loved one's specific medical needs are met.

Oceanside Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation receives high praise for its dedicated nursing staff, therapy department, and compassionate care, particularly in memory care and hospice settings. However, multiple families have reported serious concerns regarding inconsistent care, including hygiene issues, medication errors, and poor communication during medical emergencies. While many visitors find the facility welcoming and professional, the facility's aging infrastructure and inconsistent quality of care remain significant points of contention.

Key Review Excerpts

The caring, attentive people at oceanside, Ashley, Dawn, Hannah, Ismail, yari, Ethan, Rick, Chris, just to name a few cared for my my sister and brought her back! A year and a half later and my sister walked out of there!

Long-term resident's family · 2024★★★★★

My mother has been a resident at Oceanside in Hampton, NH for the past 1.5 years. She (we) would rate the Staff, Nurses & Aides, and the care that they provide as 5 stars. Everyone at Oceanside is most attentive, professional, respectful, and addresses all of my mother's medical needs.

Long-term resident's family · 2024★★★★

My wife came out worse than when she went in. She lost weight, got a UTI, they treated her without the authorization of the DPOA, using the wrong medication, she was not out of bed once during her stay and I couldn’t get a chair she could sit in.
