What this means for your family

The North Dakota Veterans Home is widely regarded as a beautiful, well-maintained facility that offers great value and activities for its residents. However, because there are conflicting reports regarding the emotional engagement of the staff, we recommend scheduling a tour during a weekend or evening to observe staff-resident interactions firsthand.

Key Review Excerpts

They always seem to habe something going on for people to participate in. They have a little in house bank for their residents to use and they sell stationary and items one might need for notes or crafts, and they sell them at a fraction of what you would have to spend at a Wal-Mart, so you can tell they're not trying to gouge their residents.

Visitor/Family member · 2018★★★★★

Most workers here treat the residents like a job and not actual people. I suggest finding a place that will actually emotionally care for there residents.

Finally!! After a year and 2 weeks we were able to see Richard in his room and got to stay for a couple hours!
