What this means for your family

Myrtle Beach Manor's therapy department is highly regarded for successful rehabilitation outcomes, making it a potential option for short-term recovery. However, given the recurring reports of hygiene issues and medical neglect, we strongly advise families to conduct unannounced visits, inspect living quarters thoroughly, and maintain frequent, direct communication with nursing supervisors to ensure your loved one's needs are being met.

Myrtle Beach Manor presents a stark divide in experiences, with many families praising the dedicated therapy team and compassionate nursing staff, while others report severe neglect and facility maintenance issues. While some residents thrive in the assisted living and rehab programs, multiple reviewers have raised critical concerns regarding hygiene, infection control, and communication failures during end-of-life care. Prospective families should be aware that the facility's physical infrastructure is frequently described as outdated, despite some recent renovation efforts.

Key Review Excerpts

The therapy department is top notch. Really dedicated to getting me strong and home.

Rehab patient · 2016★★★★★

My husband was there for rehab after an amputation of his toe... 2 days prior to his release, I notice blood on his bandaged foot. Having the nurse unwrap it, it was clear that the would had become infected. Long story short, he was sent to the ER, and he had developed Mrsa.

Rehab patient's spouse · 2024☆☆☆☆

My mother had open heart surgery and went to Myrtle Manor in Myrtle Beach S.C. for rehab. I recommend this facility without hesitation. The staff provided excellent care and were very compassionate.
