A relicensure survey was completed on 11/4/24. A deficiency was cited. Based on record review and interview, the residence failed to ensure there was at least one staff member on-site at all times with current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) from a nationally recognized organization that included a skills assessment observed by an instructor, affecting 10 current residents.Findings include:1. Record ReviewOn 11/4/24, staff CPR certifications were reviewed and revealed that none of the five staff CPR certifications had a current certification in CPR from a nationally recognized organization that included a skills assessment.The staff schedule, dated 10/1/24-11/3/24, revealed no staff with a certification in CPR from a nationally recognized organization was on site at any time.2. InterviewOn 11/4/24 at 10:10 a.m., the administrator stated she was unaware staff were not certified from a nationally recognized organization. However, she acknowledged none of the staff had a certification in CPR that included a skills assessment. THIS PORTION OF THE REPORT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.No response is necessary.The residence was advised it must review and maintain the following processes in accordance with existing program regulations found at 6 CCR 1011-1, Chapter 7.14.21 The assisted living residence shall be responsible for complying with authorized practitioner orders associated with medication administration except for those medications which a resident self-administers.
