What this means for your family

This facility has a capable therapy team that some families find very helpful, but the recurring reports of poor hygiene and aggressive management are significant red flags. If you are considering this facility, perform an unannounced visit to check for cleanliness and speak directly with current residents about their treatment to verify if the facility's culture aligns with your loved one's needs.

Key Review Excerpts

The quality and generosity of the staff far outweighs any minor lacking this facility has in decor. All of the employees are knowledgeable, kind, and generous with their time.

Long-term resident's family · 2022★★★★★

My father in law was sent there to recover by St Pats. Didn't make it through the night. He stepped in somebody else's feces in the shared bathroom for 8 residents, the food was canned garbage... and the facilities themselves are just dirty and worn out.

Family member · 2024☆☆☆☆

They have a full staff available (nurses, CNAs, dietary, activities, social services, etc.)24/7 and a great therapy unit. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needed long term care or short term care.

Missoula Health & Rehabilitation Center shows a concerning pattern of recurring deficiencies across multiple surveys, with one family filing a complaint about care planning issues. The facility has persistent problems in resident care quality, medication management, and resident rights that continue appearing across 2023-2024 inspections. While the facility reports correcting these issues, the repeated nature of deficiencies in core care areas suggests ongoing operational challenges families should carefully consider.
