What this means for your family

While MeSun's hospice and therapy departments receive high praise for their compassion and expertise, the facility has a concerning history of neglect and poor communication in its nursing and rehabilitation units. If you choose this facility, we strongly advise daily, unannounced visits to monitor your loved one's hygiene and care, and to maintain direct contact with the social work team to ensure your concerns are addressed.

MeSun Health and Rehabilitation Center receives highly polarized feedback, with many families praising the hospice and end-of-life care for its compassion and peaceful environment. However, there is a consistent and concerning pattern of reports regarding neglect, poor communication, and understaffing, particularly within the rehabilitation and long-term care units. Families should be aware that while some experiences are described as exemplary, others involve serious allegations of inadequate hygiene and medical oversight.

Key Review Excerpts

The hospice section treated my mom as if she was a member of their family. We could not have asked for kinder personnel. Each staff member showed that they cared and constantly asked if their was anything we need.

Memory care family member · 2022★★★★★

I found her nude in her bed with the exception of a rancid urine-soaked diaper and a bed sheet. She was also more confused than normal. I have been an RN for more than 23 years, and I know the difference between a diaper that's been wet for an hour or so versus one that has been for MANY hours.

Respite care family member · 2025☆☆☆☆

The therapy staff did a wonderful job helping me get back on my feet during this time. Special thanks to Nici, Sherman, Antonio, Daniela, Edna, Shantal and Mgr Lisa for a wonderful experience.
