What this means for your family

McCormick Post Acute offers compassionate care that many families find comforting during difficult transitions, but the facility has a persistent, well-documented issue with communication. Before choosing this facility, ensure you have a direct line to a specific nurse or administrator, as the general phone line is frequently unresponsive. You should also conduct a tour specifically to check the cleanliness of the rooms and observe staff response times to call lights.

Key Review Excerpts

They were there on the good days, the bad days, and the worst day. Care carts were brought to our room when we had spent hours upon hours there in my loved one’s final moments. They hugged him, loved him, called him “papa,” and prayed with us as time was drawing near.

Long-term resident's family · 2026★★★★★

If you bring your loved one to McCormick, don’t expect your phone calls to be answered. No matter when you call, there is no one to answer their phone. It’s rather scary not to be able to reach anyone at the place where your loved one is being cared for.

Family member · 2024☆☆☆☆

My grandmother spent several months here for rehab and then for hospice. I don’t have adequate words to describe our experience here. The staff always went above and beyond simply doing their jobs.
