What this means for your family

Lanfair Center is highly regarded for its physical therapy and rehab programs, often providing a positive recovery experience. However, because multiple families have reported dangerous medication errors and neglect, you must be highly involved in your loved one's daily care. We strongly recommend visiting frequently at different times of the day to monitor their medical status and ensure nursing staff are responsive to their needs.

Lanfair Center for Rehab & NSG Care receives high praise for its physical and occupational therapy programs, with many families highlighting the professionalism and compassion of the staff. However, there are serious, recurring reports of neglect, medication errors, and slow response times that have led to critical health complications for some residents. Families should weigh the facility's strong rehabilitation reputation against these significant concerns regarding nursing oversight and patient safety.

Key Review Excerpts

I went in not knowing how I was going to function without my foot and left confident that I would be just fine. The nursing staff was excellent. The office staff was very friendly and helpful.

Rehab patient · 2026★★★★★

The staff here nearly killed my husband. After open heart surgery, my husband wasn't bathed for 5 days. They let his fluid build up to the point where his shoes fell off from swelling; then congestive heart failure sent him to the hospital after the nursing staff ignored his cries and pleas for help were ignored.

Long-term resident's family · 2024☆☆☆☆

7 complaint-triggered

This facility shows concerning patterns with 39 deficiencies across 7 surveys, including 14 complaint-triggered violations where families reported problems. Recurring issues involve infection control, fire safety systems, and resident rights violations. While all deficiencies show correction dates, the repeated problems with infection control (appearing in multiple years) and ongoing complaints about resident treatment suggest persistent operational challenges that families should carefully evaluate.
