What this means for your family

While many families report a clean environment and friendly staff, there are recurring, serious allegations regarding medical neglect and poor communication. We strongly advise you to visit unannounced, specifically checking on the consistency of care for residents with complex medical needs, and to speak directly with the nursing supervisor about their protocols for UTI prevention and family updates.

Key Review Excerpts

My Mother was in lake Charles care center for 1 1/2 years Now I had to put her somewhere else because, lack of care, she has been to LCMH 3 times for UTI 2 of those times she almost died, now I cannot get get her clothes r her wheel chair, they say she didn't have one, yes she did have one.

Long-term resident's family · 2024☆☆☆☆

The Lodge has poor communication between the Therapy Dept. and patients. Management is very poor. Aids and Nursing staff try very hard but are over worked.

Family member · 2019☆☆☆☆

The team at Lake Charles Care Center have been wonderful. And each time we visit, every staff member greets us, has a smile and a cheerful attitude. I've only ever found the facility to be spotlessly clean, and my family member claims to be pampered by the staff.
