What this means for your family

While the facility appears modern and offers decent physical therapy, the frequency of reports regarding neglect and slow response times is alarming. We strongly advise families to conduct unannounced visits during off-hours and weekends to verify the level of care provided, as multiple reviewers have cited significant lapses in basic hygiene and responsiveness.

Kingsbrook Lifecare Center receives highly polarized reviews, with significant concerns regarding patient neglect, poor hygiene, and slow response times from nursing staff. While some families praise the modern facility and physical therapy department, multiple reports of residents suffering from dehydration, bedsores, and unexplained injuries suggest a serious decline in care standards.

Key Review Excerpts

When she came home she was blood raw in areas of her body and the smell was horrific. Not to mention when we got her there the room was supposedly clean was not. We showed the nurse the black stuff in the sink and the dead bugs in the shower.

Rehab patient's family · 2025☆☆☆☆

She pushed the call button and it took 3 hours for them to help her to the bathroom and then put a potty chair by her bed that was wobbly with the walker.

Rehab patient's family · 2022☆☆☆☆

She also has bed sores and thrush in her mouth where they didn’t take care of her mouth the entire time she was there.
