What this means for your family

While many families praise the clean, home-like environment and dedicated care, there are serious reports of residents being overlooked during meals and inconsistent communication in hospice. We strongly recommend visiting during off-peak hours and speaking directly with current residents' families to verify that the level of attention matches your loved one's specific needs.

Key Review Excerpts

My mother is a resident of this wonderful facility. They have small town charm, an exceptionally clean facility and she receives top notch care. Staff always keeps me well informed of any changes that take place.

Long-term resident's family · 2025★★★★★

I cannot say enough good things about Kimes. This locally-owned nursing home is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I felt a warm, caring atmosphere. The facility is impeccably clean and well maintained.

Visitor/Family member · 2024★★★★★

This place is terrible, I put my mother in this place to get rehab on her left leg to strengthen it, and while my mother was there 3 weeks ill let you all know what my brother, father and I experienced, on day one march 16 th we moved mother in, that next night we were there most of Sunday day and eve, however, when dinner time came mom was over looked and no dinner was served to her.

22deficiencies
Well above state avg (10.1)
14 complaint-triggered

This facility has concerning patterns with families filing complaints that led to federal violations, including issues with pressure ulcer care, daily care assistance, and reporting of suspected abuse. The most recurring problems involve infection control, fire safety systems, and quality of care issues like wound care and accident prevention. While all violations show correction dates, the persistence of similar issues across multiple years (2021-2026) suggests ongoing challenges with maintaining consistent standards.
