Ignite Medical Resort Carondelet receives polarized feedback, with many reviewers praising the therapy department, modern facility, and specific staff members like Luigi at the front desk. However, a significant number of families report critical failures in communication, slow response times to call lights, and hygiene issues such as persistent odors and poor cleanliness in resident areas. While some patients have excellent recovery experiences, others express deep frustration regarding neglect and lack of professional oversight.

Questions for Your Tour

  • 1I noticed the facility has a very active therapy department; how do you integrate those physical and occupational therapy sessions into a resident's daily schedule?
  • 2With the facility being quite large, what is your specific protocol for ensuring call lights are answered promptly, especially during evening and weekend shifts?
  • 3I see that you are very active in responding to feedback online; what is the best way for family members to communicate directly with nursing staff if they have concerns about their loved one's care?
  • 4Can you walk me through your process for tracking and managing personal laundry to ensure that items don't go missing?
  • 5Given the importance of a clean environment, could you explain your daily housekeeping schedule and how you handle urgent sanitation needs in resident rooms?
  • 6How does your clinical team coordinate with outside physicians to ensure medication management is seamless and accurate for residents?

Key Review Excerpts

The "B" wing smelled of urine and feces. The water fountain and ice machine did not work. Overall I Would Not recommend this facility for any disabled, sick, or senior patient unless you plan on coming everyday to administer care for them.

Visitor · 2025☆☆☆☆

My dad left here with three skin tears on his rectum due to poor care and not being cleaned properly! If you want your family member to be treated right and not sit in their feces don’t send them here!!!!!

Family member · 2025☆☆☆☆

The staff at night and weekends is non-existent. During the day, the staff seems to do the bare minimum of care for residents, but always seem to be clustered in groups talking about everything but the patients.
