What this means for your family

While many families report positive experiences regarding social activities and staff friendliness, there is a recurring pattern of serious neglect, particularly regarding feeding assistance and response times to call lights. We strongly advise families to visit frequently at irregular hours and to specifically ask about the facility's plan for ensuring adequate staffing on weekends and evenings.

Key Review Excerpts

My old neighbor is a different person! She is healthier and happier than she's been in years. She was never allowed out of the house much before but all the activities and personal interaction with both patients and staff have improved her quality of life exponentially.

Long-term resident's family · 2021★★★★★

My mom has been at the Heritage Center for over 19 months. I personally can say that my experience with the staff has always been very positive. For instance one afternoon I was speaking to my aunt on the phone, and she started crying because she had misplaced her glasses. I called the social work department and Veronica went to my aunt's room and found her glasses in her shoe.

Long-term resident's family · 2022★★★★★

Negligent. 93 yr old dad had maybe a hr of therapy a day and laying in bed the other 24. Facility lost 5 of his shirts. After constant complaining, they found 3 … one by one. Food cold and trays not picked up until 10pm. No shower/bath for more than a week.
