What this means for your family

While the rehabilitation therapy department is frequently praised for helping patients recover strength, the facility's inconsistent care quality is a major risk. Families should be extremely cautious and perform frequent, unannounced visits to ensure their loved one's hygiene and medical needs are being met, as multiple reviewers report significant neglect and slow response times.

Questions for Your Tour

  • 1I noticed your team is very active in responding to online feedback; how do you use that family input to improve daily communication and care coordination?
  • 2Given that your therapy team is so highly regarded, how do you ensure that same level of dedicated attention carries over into daily assistance with hygiene and toileting needs?
  • 3With a capacity of 120 residents, what specific protocols do you have in place to ensure prompt response times when a resident needs help, especially during peak hours?
  • 4I’ve heard wonderful things about your activity staff; could you walk me through a typical week of engagement opportunities for residents who might be less mobile?
  • 5Regarding medication management, what steps are taken to ensure accuracy and clear communication with families when there are changes to a resident's prescription plan?
  • 6I understand maintaining a large facility can be a challenge; what is your current process for ensuring the environment remains fresh and clean throughout the day?

Key Review Excerpts

The Staff was so helpful and calming in dealing with my mother (from the Physical/Occupational staff to the ones who cleaned, brought food, and attended to her needs).

Long-term resident's family · 2023★★★★★

The nurses are awful on the weekends they don't even answer the call bells when my sister rang it they never came and when I looked out the door her nurse was playing on her cell phone.

Family member · 2024☆☆☆☆

I chose this facility for my mother's rehab for both it's five star (medicare?) rating and the on-line reviews. It was the a gigantic disappoitnment. After 16 days I worked to have her transferred to another facility.
