Glades West Rehabilitation and Nursing Center receives high praise for its clean, hotel-like environment and a dedicated therapy team that helps many residents regain mobility. However, there are serious, recurring reports of neglect, particularly regarding fall prevention, nighttime staffing shortages, and poor communication during medical emergencies. Families should weigh the facility's strong rehabilitation programs against significant concerns regarding patient safety and responsiveness.

Key Review Excerpts

My Mother was there for 6 weeks for rehab. She ended up with an infection and a bed sore the size of a grapefruit. She was sent to the emergency room where the doctor said she was neglected.

Long-term resident's family · 2025☆☆☆☆

My 94-year-old grandmother was transferred there on Thursday, March 20th, following hip surgery, with explicit instructions that she is a fall risk. A nurse placed her in a wheelchair, left her unattended, and she subsequently fell, sustaining a laceration above her eye.

Memory care family member · 2025☆☆☆☆

They are not staffed properly at night and if a patient falls he/she can lay there for hours. Sadly, we know this first hand. They are also not equipped to administer feeding through PEG tube properly.
