What this means for your family

While the facility shows success in short-term physical rehabilitation, the reports of neglect and communication failures in long-term care are concerning. If you are considering this facility, we strongly recommend conducting unannounced visits and asking for a clear, written policy on how families are notified during medical emergencies.

Google Reviews

Google Reviews

10 reviews on Google
Geer Nursing and Rehabilitation receives highly polarized feedback, with some families praising the rehab therapy team for successful post-surgery recovery, while others report severe neglect and communication failures. Critical reviews highlight alarming instances of residents being left unmonitored, poor hygiene, and a lack of notification regarding medical emergencies. Potential families should be aware of the significant disparity between the positive rehab experiences and the negative reports regarding long-term nursing care.

My mother went to Geer for rehab. On the first day there the doctor... thought she might have a blood clot in her leg. He did NOTHING about it for 2 days. When he finally confirmed it she was sent to the hospital. I was never notified!

Families filed complaints that led to findings of abuse and neglect concerns, which should prompt careful evaluation. The facility shows recurring issues with care planning, treatment delivery, and pressure ulcer care across multiple years from 2019 to 2024. While all deficiencies have reported correction dates, the pattern of repeated problems in core care areas suggests ongoing challenges with maintaining consistent quality standards.
