What this means for your family

Forest Manor is highly regarded for its clean environment and engaging activities, making it a comfortable setting for many residents. However, because multiple families have reported concerns regarding slow response times and inconsistent care, we strongly recommend that you conduct an unannounced visit and specifically ask about their nurse-to-patient ratios and call-bell response protocols.

Forest Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center receives overwhelmingly positive feedback for its clean, modern facility and friendly, attentive staff. While many families express relief and satisfaction with the care provided, a small number of critical reviews allege serious neglect, including issues with hygiene, slow response times, and poor communication regarding patient needs. Prospective families should weigh the frequent praise for the facility's atmosphere against these specific, severe reports of inadequate care.

Key Review Excerpts

The nurse that was on staff for the weekend was wonderful when he came in to see her this afternoon. Looking forward to coming back and seeing her.

Long-term resident's family · 2023★★★★★

I was overwhelmed how nice and cozy the facility was , and friendly the staff was. I left happy knowing she’s in a caring and modern facility.

Long-term resident's family · 2023★★★★★

My father was admitted to Forest Manor in Covington, LA, for therapy for a broken hip. He was not suppose to put weight on that side. He would have to buzz them to go to the restroom. It would take them 20 minutes to show up which was way too long.
