What this means for your family

While the facility's therapy department receives occasional praise, the consistent, high-severity reports of neglect, poor hygiene, and lack of responsiveness are major red flags. I strongly advise families to look elsewhere, or if you must consider this facility, conduct an unannounced visit during evening or weekend hours to observe actual staffing levels and response times.

Questions for Your Tour

  • 1We noticed the building is very modern and well-maintained; how does the facility ensure that the cleanliness and hygiene of the resident rooms and common areas are kept up to that same high standard?
  • 2With the physical and occupational therapy services being a known strength here, how do you coordinate with the nursing staff to ensure therapy goals are supported throughout the day?
  • 3How do you ensure that call lights are answered promptly, especially during busy shifts when the floor is at high capacity?
  • 4What is the protocol for communicating important medical updates or changes in condition to family members to ensure we are always in the loop?
  • 5Can you tell us more about the dining experience, specifically how the meal service is managed to ensure quality and nutrition for every resident?
  • 6How does the facility manage medication administration and what steps are taken to ensure accuracy and safety during every dose?

Key Review Excerpts

My Dad was in this place back in 2006 to get back on his feet. Back then it went under a different name but seems this place just as bad probably the same people work there. They made him drink a nutrition drink knowing he couldn’t swallow too good at the time and he choked on it. Paramedics had to be called because not one person with him knew what to do.

Long-term resident's family · 2024☆☆☆☆

If you push the call button no one shows up for at least 45 min. This place is DISGUSTING! They don’t feed you on time or assist with any needs. They are not on the same page at all when it comes to medicine dosages.

Family member · 2024☆☆☆☆

The staff on the night shift are OBTUSE and INCOMPETENT. As a healthcare provider myself, I've never seen such people OBLIVIOUS to patient care!
