What this means for your family

While the facility is visually appealing and has staff members who are praised for their helpfulness during the admissions process, the recurring reports of clinical neglect and poor communication are deeply concerning. If you consider this facility, you must conduct unannounced visits, verify the facility's recent state inspection reports, and ask specifically how they handle medical emergencies and patient hygiene.

Google Reviews

Google Reviews

117 reviews on Google
El Jen Skilled Care receives highly polarized feedback, with a significant number of 5-star reviews praising specific staff members and the facility's appearance, contrasted by severe allegations of neglect and poor medical oversight. Families frequently report critical issues regarding communication, responsiveness, and the quality of medical care, including instances of patients developing infections or suffering injuries while under supervision. Prospective families should be aware of the stark divide between the positive administrative experiences and the alarming clinical concerns raised by multiple long-term care and rehab families.

Key Review Excerpts

This place almost killed my mom. Avoid it at all costs. Even the paramedics that had to come transport her to the hospital said this place is the absolute worst.

Family member · 2025☆☆☆☆

My Mom was basicly starved to death. She was not cared for what so ever. Staff is always short handed, and cannot do there jobs like that.

Daughter of resident · 2024☆☆☆☆

My experience with Cindy Vasquez in admissions was comfortable and extremely helpful. She is also professional and welcoming. I think my loved one will be safe at El Jen because of the staff and its ability to care for their patients.
