What this means for your family

While many families report positive interactions with staff, there is a concerning pattern of neglect and slow response times that cannot be ignored. If you are considering this facility, we strongly recommend visiting unannounced, specifically on weekends or evenings, and asking for a tour of the actual resident rooms to verify cleanliness and call-light responsiveness.

Cedar Ridge Center receives highly polarized feedback, with many reviewers praising the staff's friendliness and the facility's welcoming atmosphere, while others report severe concerns regarding neglect, hygiene, and staffing shortages. Families should be aware of a recurring pattern of complaints regarding slow call-light response times, poor communication, and inconsistent care standards. While some residents and families have had positive experiences, the frequency of reports involving basic care failures warrants significant caution.

Key Review Excerpts

He called us last night and told us it had been two hours That he had been hitting his call light and nobody had been in there to check on him. One of us went down there filed a complain against the nurse because she got a smart attitude with my mom. He had been laying in his own feces for over two hours.

Long-term resident's family · 2024☆☆☆☆

I have been a resident at Cedar Ridge for two years. I have received excellent care from the CNAs and nurses that are assigned.to the hall my room is on. On the negative side, the turnover of CNAs and nurses is high and can cause poor care and neglect of residents.

Long-term resident · 2020★★★☆☆

I was there over 3 weeks and my toilet was stopped up the whole time. I had to use a potty chair. Several of the nurses were great, others were very rude. For meals they serve a heavy carb menu.

Cedar Ridge Center has a concerning pattern of 115 deficiencies across recent surveys, with families filing complaints that triggered 38 violations. The most recurring issues involve accident hazards and safety supervision, infection control programs, and medication management problems. While the facility corrects violations when cited, the high complaint volume and repeated safety deficiencies, including recent abuse protection failures, suggest ongoing care quality concerns that families should carefully consider.
