What this means for your family

While recent reviews highlight a clean facility and helpful admissions staff, the history of severe safety and maintenance complaints is concerning. We strongly recommend that you tour the facility personally and ask specifically about the current status of the HVAC system and the protocols for fall prevention, as these have been recurring issues.

Caroline Nursing and Rehab receives highly polarized feedback, with some families praising the staff's communication and care, while others report severe safety and maintenance failures. Critical concerns include reports of inadequate staffing, lack of essential equipment like bed alarms, and significant facility maintenance issues such as heating and cooling failures. Families should be aware of the stark contrast between positive administrative interactions and reports of neglect regarding patient safety and basic comfort.

Key Review Excerpts

My mother has received better care at this facility, than in previous facilities. ... I received weekly phone calls personally letting me know their covid status for that particular week,as well as a general update about the facility.

Long-term resident's family · 2025★★★★

The place need’s to be closed down , It’s a death trap. No heat in the winter , no air conditioning in the summer. Tha alarm system took 18 months to fix and now it’s broke again.

Visitor/Family member · 2024☆☆☆☆

There are no bed rails on any of the beds. His roommate clearly had a "fall risk" bracelet and, guess what, the man fell out of bed. No alarms on the beds either.
