What this means for your family

While this facility has a dedicated patient advocate and a strong therapy team, the recurring reports of neglect and poor medical monitoring are significant red flags. If you choose this facility, ensure you have a family member present daily to monitor care and advocate for your loved one, as the facility's internal oversight appears inconsistent.

Google Reviews

Google Reviews

52 reviews on Google
Bridgepoint Sub-Acute & Rehab National Harborside receives highly polarized feedback, with many families praising specific staff members—particularly the patient advocate, Ms. Rocky—for their dedication and communication. However, several critical reviews highlight severe lapses in patient safety, including neglect, poor infection control, and inadequate monitoring of medical conditions like glucose levels and tracheostomy care. Families should be aware that while many report positive rehabilitation outcomes, there are serious, recurring allegations of understaffing and neglect that have led to tragic outcomes for some residents.

Key Review Excerpts

Rocky does an outstanding of treating patients as if they were related to her. Rocky has excellent communication skills with family members. She follows through on everything she says.

Family member · 2023★★★☆☆

They didn’t monitor my mother. Didn’t check her glucose levels. Refuse to send my mother to the hospital. I argued with management about nursing staff no making rounds.

Family member · 2025☆☆☆☆

The staff is absent most of the time. If you call for a nurse, there is a high probability the nurse wont see you for 15 to 20 minutes. Understaffed is a understatement.

This facility has a concerning pattern of serious problems with families repeatedly filing complaints that triggered 62 out of 109 total deficiencies. The most recurring issues involve care planning and assessments, protection from abuse and neglect, and medication management, with problems persisting across multiple years including recent violations in 2024. While the facility reports corrections for past issues, the ongoing stream of family complaints and repeat violations in core safety areas suggests systemic problems that warrant careful consideration before placement.
