What this means for your family

The facility shows a strong upward trend in administrative and nursing care quality under recent leadership. However, the extreme severity of past safety incidents and hygiene complaints cannot be ignored; families should conduct an in-person visit specifically to observe mealtime supervision and cleanliness.

Google Reviews

Families considering this facility will find a highly praised nursing and rehab team, with many reviewers highlighting the kindness and professionalism of specific staff members like Gabby and Amber. However, there are extremely serious allegations regarding patient safety, including a fatal choking incident and severe neglect in hygiene and monitoring. While recent reviews under new ownership are very positive, the history of critical care failures and inconsistent staffing levels requires careful investigation.

Key Review Excerpts

It is not acceptable for a resident to be sitting with other residents in rotation eating NEAR the nurse station and choke to death. My brother lived here from late December 2022 until he died due to choking on a peanut butter sandwich (with no jelly) in March 2023.

Long-term resident's family · 2024☆☆☆☆

Amber and Gabby(the nurse) have just been exceptional and I can’t thank you enough for what they have done for my family!

Rehab patient's family · 2024★★★★★

While it was Arden Place, it was great, lots of friendly staff, clean, homely facility. New ownership...fewer staff, and not as engaged with their clients.
