What this means for your family

While the facility's physical therapy team receives some praise, the recurring reports of ignored call lights and unprofessional staff behavior are significant red flags. We strongly recommend visiting in person during off-hours to observe staff responsiveness and speaking directly with current families about their daily care experiences.

Key Review Excerpts

I found Avera POP to truly be the best caregiver in the area. As with all centers, there will be an occasional employee who cares little for their job, but it was very minimal here. Moreover, the PT staff was quite engaged in seeking recovery and there are attempts made to give people interaction.

Rehab patient · 2023★★★★

On one occasion my Dad called my Mom to ask her to call the nurses station as he believed his call button was not working. He had pushed it 25 minutes before and no one was answering.

Long-term resident's family · 2021☆☆☆☆

My mother had suffered a fall,as a result of a stroke. During her stay, she had fell...in the bathroom. NO ONE responded to her alert. She was discovered by my Father, who had come to visit. She had been laying in the bathroom for 30 +minutes or more.
