What this means for your family

While the rehab therapy team is frequently praised for helping patients regain mobility, the facility has a concerning pattern of reports regarding basic hygiene and neglect. Families should be extremely cautious and conduct frequent, unannounced visits to monitor the care of their loved ones, specifically checking for cleanliness and responsiveness.

Key Review Excerpts

My 90 year old Mom had a stay at Autumn Lake Catonsville. (2024) I will let her come back to them if the need arises. Their rehab department brought her back on her feet.

Long-term resident's family · 2024★★★★★

If you value your loved one's health and well-being, do not send them to Autumn Lake Habilitation Facility in Catonsville. My mother had an incredibly distressing and unfortunate stay there. Due to the negligence of one of the nurses, she sustained painful wounds on both ears, which became infected and required an emergency room visit.

Long-term resident's family · 2025☆☆☆☆

The staff gave my mom in law a cigarette when they know she had a stroke. When my husband asked who gave his mom a cigarette they ignored him. They aren’t helping her walk. They wouldn’t change her diapers.
