What this means for your family
While the rehab therapy department is frequently praised for helping patients regain mobility, the facility has a persistent pattern of understaffing and poor communication. If you choose this facility, we strongly recommend visiting daily to monitor your loved one's hygiene and medical status, as multiple families reported that staff responsiveness is unreliable.

50 reviews on Google“Acadia Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation receives highly polarized feedback, with many families reporting severe neglect, poor communication, and understaffing, while others praise the facility's physical and occupational therapy programs. While some residents report successful recoveries and attentive care, a significant number of reviewers cite dangerous medical oversights, unsanitary conditions, and unresponsive staff. Families considering this facility should be aware of the stark contrast between the positive experiences in the rehab department and the frequent reports of neglect in long-term care.”

Key Review Excerpts
“My mother fell three times there but they only took x-rays of her wrist and her back but her when she fell on her head it was never reported”
“The therapy department is the best I have delt with. They are friendly, kind , caring ,and hardworking. I was totally non weight bearing from a fall that broke my knee and fema for 10 weeks, they worked with me to get my body stronger everyday.”
“My mother went here on November 15 2022 for rehabilitation of a broken hip. Unfortunately contacted Covid while there. Was poorly treated for this virus. As my mom got worse, I asked the staff if I should have her transferred to the hospital. I was told by a few nurses and administrators there is nothing a hospital can do that they can’t.”
